In the study, GelSight’s tactile imaging was used to capture detailed surface measurements of ancient bronze coins, revealing wear patterns and surface textures invisible to the naked eye.
The demo shows how the combined solution enables fast, precise detection of surface defects down to the smallest details. In the example, the team scans fasteners on an aerospace surface, capturing high-resolution 3D data in seconds.
